During our stay at Quinta Verde Sintra, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful grounds and charming atmosphere. The room we had was spacious and had a lovely terrace overlooking the gardens. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We were also delighted to find a small kitchen hidden behind what appeared to be wardrobe doors in our room, allowing us to prepare our own meals if desired.
Although we didn't have a car, the train and bus services were easily accessible, and we enjoyed exploring the area by foot as well. The hilly landscape added to the charm of the location.

Gorgeous property, feels like private resort. André's restaurant picks were the best. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great affordable breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit, coffee, meats, and cheeses. Regret not staying longer.

Breakfast included European meats/cheese/yogurt, hot plate varied. French toast delicious. Convenient location for exploring Sintra and Colares, but need a car. Helpful owners and staff with directions and restaurant tips. Tranquil facilities set back from road.

Our stay at Quinta Verde was excellent value for money. The room was great, and the location was perfect – close to the attractions but still peaceful. The staff went above and beyond to help us, providing recommendations and assisting with transportation.
Food for breakfast could be improved by ensuring that all items are available and that the service is more efficient.

the owners were incredibly attentive and made sure we had all the information we needed before our arrival. They even greeted us personally and offered their assistance throughout our stay. the property was impeccably clean and had a unique scent of historical furniture, which added to its charm. the peaceful and quiet atmosphere, along with the beautiful landscaping, made it a perfect retreat. We opted for our own breakfast but had the option to enjoy a tasty meal for just 10 euros per person. We added some candles to create a romantic ambiance, and it was truly magical. the upper standard room had all the necessary amenities, including a kettle, toaster, and microwave. there were toiletries, extra pillows, and blankets available. the Family Suite we booked had a breathtaking view of the mountains and the pristine garden. It was conveniently located near all the attractions in the area, such as Sintra and Cascais. Although the pool was too cold during our visit, it must be fantastic to swim with such a scenic backdrop. it was an ideal getaway that I highly recommend, especially for families.
Hard to think of any negatives 😊.

Great location for exploring the area, with easy access to the main town and the coast. the room was clean, comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. the pool area had a beautiful view of the surrounding area and Pena Palace. the property also served food during the daytime, and the mixed salad was particularly delicious.
The breakfast service could be improved, as there were several issues during our stay. We had to set our own table and ask for it to be cleared, and there were often missing items and a lack of attention from the staff.

The staff is exceptional, giving great tips and being exceptionally kind. The property has a beautiful green garden and a pool area with a stunning view of the surrounding area and Pena Palace. The room amenities are in order and the breakfast is sumptuous. Great location, only a short drive to the main town and the coast. The property can serve excellent food during the daytime.
Felt most welcome, no complaints whatsoever.

The view from the garden was absolutely breathtaking, with a magnificent panorama of the surrounding countryside. It was the perfect backdrop for a romantic escape. the outdoor swimming pool was also a highlight, providing a refreshing oasis to relax and cool off in the warm weather. the clean room and comfortable mattress ensured a comfortable and restful stay.
There were a few aspects of our experience that were disappointing. the lack of air conditioning or a fan in the room made it quite uncomfortable during the humid nights, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
